Comments: Went out too fast. Once the race started, there was a group of runners who flew out of the gate. I got a bit caught up in it and was pushing too hard. What would you do differently?: Pace myself. Transition 1
Comments: Glasses were fogged up. Gave up and them and just tucked them down the front of my jersey after the first half mile. Bike
Comments: Was getting soaked and hit in the eyes with rain the whole time. Had a headwind for some of it. It is a fun course. A bit bumpy on the long stretch into the wind. It was really lonely out there. I only passed one person and it was right at the end of the bike. He passed me within the first 4 minutes of the run. Transition 2
Comments: No issues, just wet and muddy into transition. Run
Post race
Event comments: This is a neat warm up for the season. The rain did put a damper on things an limited the field. It was a challenging run course. Greenswell does a good job with their races. The course was well marked and well staffed. I am marking this as below average as the lack of attendees makes it feel more like training than a race. The post race amenities were weak (not sure if you can blame this on the rain). Also, the results posted are in an almost unreadable format. I typically like to see overall results AND age group. This was a mess with age group only. Last updated: 2013-03-05 12:00 AM

Grabbed coffee on my way down. It was raining all night and morning, so I was watching the weather my whole way there.
Quick ride to make sure the bike was fine and about a 400 meter jog to loosen up.
