  • 02m 19s / 100 yards
What would you do differently?:

Enter a slower swim time, I would rather pass then be passed and worry about holding everyone up.
Transition 1
  • 03m 41s
Comments:

Still ticked off about how bad the swim was....
What would you do differently?:

Do better on the swim

Comments:

T2 was included in the bike times.....the chips were messed up
Run
  • 36m 53s
  • 3 miles
  • 12m 17s  min/mile
Comments:

WOW I walked A LOT! Once I got my running legs, around the end of the first mile, I would just jog a little then walk then jog a little then walk and walk and walk....I kept waiting to feel recovered.....what the heck was I thinking, the race was not over...anyway I have much room for improvment!
What would you do differently?:

SUCK IT UP AND RUN!!!!!!!
I think the only time I ran was when I was worried about my husband and friends seeing me walk! Oh and for photo ops! LOL

Post race
Warm down:

The ice towel was great! I walked around a little with my hubby and drank gatoraid and water....then finally had one beer before we headed home.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

70% mental 30% training

Event comments:

Dont have much to compare the race to since this was my first, but I thought it was GREAT, can't wait to do another

Course: This was my first Tri, and I have to admit I got a little freaked out about the swim! I didnt want to be passed, basically I couldn't find my pace and ended up gasping for air. Someone hit me on the foot and I lost it from there. At least I was not more than a minute off of my seed time......just really close.

Congrats! Great job!

Yea, my legs always feel like jello until mile 2.... and I have always done a walk/run combo... unless I am near the finish/start line! HA! Gotta run for the spectators.
