Subject: Double amputee Triathlete biking for charity
Hector Picard is a local triathlete/motivational speaker in South Florida who is a double arm amputee. I have had the pleasure of racing a few of the same races, including one in which he got a flat and changed the tire himself. In June he is biking from Florida to Washington State to raise money for a baby who was born without hands ("Hands for baby Jameson"). He posted in his Facebook page the following message asking for people who might know of any bike shops in the following cities and dates that would like to host an evening fundraiser/Motivational Presentation/Silent Auction/raffle for the "Hands For Baby Jameson - Cycle USA"

 *Ocala, FL - June 10th or 11th
*Macon, GA - June 13th
*Atlanta, GA - June 14th or 15th
*Birmingham, AL - June 16th
... *Memphis, TN - June 18th
*Columbia, MO - June 22nd
*Kansas City, MO - June 23rd
*Denver, CO - June 28th, 29th, 30th
Local bike shops would benefit from media coverage.

You can read more about him here:

And about the specific ride here:

PS. I am not affiliated with either charity or with Hector. Just thought of this as a worthy cause.

Wasn't his bike recently stolen in Florida? A friend posted something about it on FB. Hoping it was found/returned as whoever stole it wouldn't have much chance of riding it.

Yep. $12,000 bike stolen (including all the special alteration, etc.). He is planning to do the ride with his old bike, but not sure if they found his bike or not. No chance of riding it, reselling it, or pawning it, so hopefully they will just abandon it somewhere and someone can find it.
