How much liquid do you take on T2?

I drink plenty during my bike session, but kinda feel I'll miss something before I start to run. On several training sessions started to run bloated...

It's kinda hard to figure it out in that moment...sometimes even 200 ml gets in my way...

My sweat rate is 1-1,2 litres for an hour.

None.  I'll try to get a last sip in the last half mile or so on the bike just before I start preparing to slow and dismount.  I try to keep transition to a minimum of tasks and will just hold off until the first run aid station.

What about when you train 2 disciplines, for ex. bike+run?

I never run with a bottle.

That's different.  In training, I'm not worried about the extra time it would take for a drink.  My training brick transitions are pretty leisurely, maybe too much so.

Also, I rarely run more than 30 minutes off the bike and it just doesn't normally get that hot around here.  I do use a Fuel Belt for my normal long runs so if I was doing a longer run off my ride I wouldn't have a problem throwing on the FB.

Another option that I've used is to have water in front of my house and then do loops around the neighborhood.  I've also planned routes where I knew there was a drinking fountain along the way.

None.

If aid stations don't work for you, carry a water bottle or pak

Also in the "none" group, take some on the last 1-1/2 mile and that's it until an aid station.

i only take in nutrition when I am on the move. You are wasting time in transition IMHO

tkos - 2013-05-09 6:52 AM How long is your race?

exactly...for me a sprint or olympic is none, during a HIM it is just a swig before heading out.

I am kind of old and set in my ways.  So is my stomach, so I do not trust what is passed out at the aid stations. Having said that, I provide my own drink and fuel.  For a sprint in T2 I'll just wash down a Roctane as I leave T2.  For a HIM, I'll drink 20-30oz Gatoraid in T2 washing down a Protein bar.

None in transistion.

I take a small sip or two 5-10 minutes before done on the bike. In transition I just sit down get the job done and off I go. First aid station is usually about a mile on the run so I grab a cup of water, gel, take some of the gel, take a drink of water and dump the rest on my body to help cool me back down.

It sounds like you need to drink a little bit less towards the end of your bike if you are feeling bloated. Are you drinking just water or some kind of nutrition? I decided this year to quit the liquid nutrition as it wasn't working out well for the couple times I tried it. Now I eat solids and gel for nutrition and drink water. So far during that, I've felt great stomach wise and energy wise.

None.  Why would you need anything in transition to begin with?  What are you trying to accomplish by further complicating transition when you could just take a drink just before bike in and/or wait until the first run aid station?

If I am racing a hot race, I will freeze a small bottle of water and let it sit in transition and wait for me to get off the bike.  After I put my bike on the rack, take off my helmet, put on my shoes I grab my race number with one hand, and that bottle of water with the other.

As I am running out of transition I stick the bottle of water in the top of my shorts long enough to put my race number on then use that one bottle of water in my hand to get me to the first aid station.

Most of the time, that involves pouring alot of it over my head.  Ju,ping off the bike, even in hot races, you will get hotter on the run because you don't have the wind cooling you off.  As I regulate my HR and body temp, i ditch the water bottle are the first aid station and start drinking whatever sports drink they offer.

Transition is only a means for me to drop off my bike/helmet and put on my shoes, everything else I try and do before I get there or after I leave.

NOW, for an IM, totally different.  I sat back and drank an entire can of cold coke I had in my special needs before heading out on the marathon
