Oatmeal 2 hours before leaving. Left at 5:30

Comments:

Side stitch from too much gatorade and gel I think. I cut back on gatorade and only took water later in the race and actually felt pretty good.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. Had to stop and wait for a minute or two just beyond the finish to recover. Had nothing at all left.

Warm down:

Walk around, wait for my Dad to finish, drink free beer.

Event comments:

Love this race. Local, well organized and runs past several of my favorite hangout spots.

Hi John! When I saw your name pop up on the race report I knew I had to stop in. Congratulations on completing the 13.1 miles in under an 8 minute pace! Impressive! You always seem to do events with your Dad and I think that's way cool. Glad to know you're still out and about staying active. Keep up the good work!
