Subject: Washington 50 next weekend?
Does anyone know if this is wetsuit legal? Doesn't seem to have a lot of info at the website. Kinda curious as to the swim on this-never done a river swim before. How was it last year?
Thanks for any info. I am thinking about jumping in at the last min if my hip holds out!

I did the 50 last year and it was wet suit legal. Doing the 100 this year.  Really a fun race.  The river is usually very calm and flat. The only tough part of the swim was sighting the exit right into the sun.

Wasn't sure myself and not sure of the water temps in the Pamlico sound this time of year, I checked wit FS and Matthew told me average water temp 73 degrees, last years temp 74, it's been a relatively cold spring so I assume it will probably be low 70's.  I don't do cold very well, cold water even less, I'm wearing mine!
