Tell me about ventless dryers.  The good, the bad, and the ugly!

Back story:  My wife and I are looking at purchasing a condo, but there is not a vent for the dryer, so we will have to buy a ventless unit.  I don't have any experience with these, any insight would be helpful though!

Thank you in advance!

We had a vent-less dryer in our last house.  No real issues with it (other than the dryer being too small).  If you don't have a drain nearby (most likely you will for the washer), a reservoir is filled with condensate water that will need to be emptied every so often.  Otherwise, on ours we were able to hook up a rubber hose for drainage.

We have condensing dryers here in Beijing.  Compared to a hot-air dryer, they suck, IMHO.  If they're all you have, they will dry clothes OK.

It's hard to get things REALLY dry, like if you're drying a set of sheets that you want to store for a long time.
