Swim
Comments: Always feels out of breath the entire way, really don't like the swim portion. Especially in a sprint where it's go hard hard hard the whole time...but at least it's over quickly. Transition 1
Comments: Good transition but I take too long to get on the bike. Bike
Comments: Felt like I pushed as much as I could have, though I should have been able to go faster. It's possible that the 4 hour bike the day before fatigued my legs more than I realized. Happy with the bike, gave it all I had. Transition 2
Comments: Fast transition What would you do differently?: Didn't get my feet out of my shoes in time, a lot of turns at the very end after a downhill bridge, felt like I didn't have time. Run

Warm down: Nothing specific What limited your ability to perform faster: 4 hour bike ride with 30 minute brick run the day before--probably fatigued legs more than I realize. Event comments: Well-run race, unique course. However, there could have been a few more volunteers directing racers at the beginning and end of bike and run (near the bridge, both sides), because it got confusing trying to figure out where to go, which side to stay on, etc., with people coming both directions. Clif Bar 90 minutes before with water.
1/2 Gu gel 10 minutes prior to start, with water.
Only got in a 5 minute swim warm-up, tried to get the blood flowing and heart pumping but didn't get as warmed up as I would have liked.
