Subject: Advice on bent wheel I don't know where to go from here. I have a Giant bike with Mavic wheels that is on loan to me. I aired it up to 115 psi this morning. Tires say it can hold 120 psi. I usually stop at 105 psi, but put an extra pump of air in it. I went on my ride this morning and heard what I thought was the sound of the tire rubbing on the brakes. I got off and checked after riding down the road to discover that the rear wheal was warped, and rubbing against the inside of the frame. Totally bent wheel. My question is, is it something that can be fixed, or do I need to have it replaced. I know absolutely nothing of wheel maintenance. I was amazed I made it the 2 miles back to the house on it this morning. Is there anything I can do at home? Should I take to a bike shop for opinion? |
