For those that shave, How far up do you go? For me it's an all-or-nothing proposition, and it's a lot of work to get all the hair in the nether reaches...

That craigslist warning fits the bill. It's really nice for about 48 hours after the first shave, then the other issues come to the fore for me. I love the look and feel of the legs when they are freshly shaven, but I just don't have the time to do that kind of maintenance.

See, shaving your legs is a slipperly slope!  I don't think any of the so-called 'benefits' of shaving your legs applies to shaving your balls and your arse.  Next you will probably be painting your toenails becuase they look so pretty next to your sleek legs.

WOW! Do you really have to be a troll in every tread you participate in? It provides with entertainment, but just wondering. You go to church to see a man with long hair, so why the double standard?

I shave to where I don't have any leg hair showing while wearing square cut speedos in the pool. I leave the rest except for the occasional light trim. I keep my chest hair trimmed with a #2 attachment. I shave my back.

Above the waist it's for the sake of vanity. Below the waist is just because I like the feel.

Don't be so sensitive Frances!  If you can't take a ribbing for shaving your legs then you might need to rethink it.

Shave and a trim... If you shave yourself too closely in the parts that make contact with the seat, you're more likely to get infected hairs which can easily turn into saddle sores. Nobody wants saddle sores.

I'm not sure what 'other areas of my life' you are interested nor do I see any relevance.  This thread answered the OP's question on the first page and the next 6 pages are mostly just a bunch of guys sitting around opining and BSing about shaving.  Leg shaving and tatoos are agreas we all need to agree to disagree on as it's a personal thing.  I'm sorry you got offended.  I was just teasing.

You can keep saying I am offended, but I am truly not. Anyway, you are the one that brought up other areas of your life, such as church. But it seems you are very sensitive on that topic seeing your reactions to previous comments, so I'll let it go.

You can keep saying I am offended, but I am truly not. Anyway, you are the one that brought up other areas of your life, such as church. But it seems you are very sensitive on that topic seeing your reactions to previous comments, so I'll let it go.

So let's look at what I posted for 'other areads of my life':

my wife
children
traveling the world
church
work
snow skiing
SCUBA diving
woodworking
gardening
hiking
water skiing
boating
fishing
white water rafting
motorcycle riding
horseback riding
camping
4 wheeling
riding wave runners

So let's be honest, you et al, just wanted to use the fact that I go to church with my family as some sort of "ah-ha, gotcha" because you must have this idea that people who go to church are super-spiritual and holy and are not allowed to be a wise-guy and tease people about shaving their balls or painting their toes.  That is YOUR idea of church-goers.  I never claimed to be a good Christian.  I simply said I go to church with my family.

Not really, I just saw how you replied to the first comment about church and got interested. And my comments have nothing to do with being a good Christian. I was wondering how you feel about following a guy that did not look or act manly in the least...

But, the real question is would he run across the water faster with shaved legs? What if he wore an aero helmet at the same time?

Counting up the "votes" across several websites, including BT, it appears that shaving does NOT constitute a Man Card violation. Haha, of course there are more important things in life, but it was fun to get everyone's perspective on this 'important' topic.

I do, however, feel that there are certain actions that require corners snipped off what I'll call the "Tri Card," applying to both men and women.

These include:

Being a "Rack Hog" - penalty: 1 corner snippage
Drafting - penalty: 2 corner snippage
Water Fighting - penalty: minimum 2 corner snippage
Being a (fill in your favorite word) - penalty: 4 corner snippage (complete revocation)

If you're interested check out our site for the full write-up and let me know what I missed!!
