I am looking for a bike. [help]

How is this?

I think I found one, price is right, its Aluminum, descent components, gets me aero. but I have to go from St Paul to SE MN. Now I need to lear to ride in clipless and aero, but I will take those one at a time.

Seems like it's worth looking at. My only red flag is 650 wheels. Whether or not you want the hassle (need different tubes that most on the road, etc), that is a very small wheel for a bike in the size range you're looking at. I wonder if it will be too small. I see they list "Seat post 55cm C to C, Top Tube 57 cm C to C" but I don't know enough about bikes to understand what that means for the "size" of the bike. I would at least ask them what size of rider has previously used and fit on this bike. It's a long way to go without a little more info I think...

54 should be just right I am 5'9 3/4" with a 31-31.5" inseam any size calculator would have me 53-56 cm (21-22"). I am not too worried about 650c wheels, there are fewer options, but that isn't the deal breaker. the price is right, and it gets me lighter and aero. Upgrade to a forward seatpost, If I need to. Maybe look at wheels down the road.

Sorry, I wasn't clear about my concern. I am not questioning what size you need/want. I am worried that the bike is smaller than what you're looking for ONLY because I find it odd that a bike sized 54 (or even 52) or larger would have 650 wheels. The stated measurements provided do not make it clear to me what the bike size is.

I appreciate it. I did my homework, I'll see how it looks and feels.

Be patient and keep watching Craigslist. I just found a co-worker a Trek 1.2 a couple of years old in above average condition for $350. She couldn't be happier. They are out there and can go quickly. I'll post links if I see any as I am on Craigslist daily.  Good luck.

Check out the Tommasso Imola from Giantnerd.com. I've been really pleased with mine.

I picked it up, the thing is fast, I do now need to find some Time cleats, and find a presta adapter, but this is a huge upgrade.

Any bike store will have a presta adapter. I bought two, one for my tool box and one for my emergency repair kit.
