There's been a lot of conversation about the 910 barometric altimeter not working. I contacted Garmin tech support over the phone and they took me into diagnostic menus to get a bunch of info and came to the conclusion it is a software issue. I got the sense they were already well aware of this and working on it. They offered to let me return my unit and get a refurbished one, but if it is a software issue it'll likely show up on the refurb as well.

Figured I would just wait until the fix came out and use the "enable correction" choice on Garmin Connect until then. Well, come to find that doesn't work any more either. I get the same useless elevation information. Riding along SF Bay but at 16,000 to 65,000 feet. I did, however, find that if I select "enable" and wait for the screen to reload, then choose Player up at the top right, the Player does show the corrected elevation information.

wow you riding in an airplane on a trainer? j/k. sorry I don't have anything to offer you other than a little joke to maybe ease the pain of paying a lot of money for something not working as expected.
