Subject: Ironman 70.3 Raleigh - Saturday Lunch Before/After Bike Check-in Anyone?
Hey gang, I live pretty close to Bike Check-in, right off 64 in Apex. I was thinking it might be nice to get together with our online friends before we put on the boxing gloves Sunday.

There is a nice shopping area with lots of dining options, but one local favorite is Tyler's Taproom.

Would anyone want to converge there at say 12:30 for lunch and a beverage of choice before heading out to Vista Point (or after you've checked in)? If you're interested in meeting up before or after bike check-in, post back here or send me a PM.

The cool thing about Raleigh is there are so many awesome places to eat/drink! I arrived last week and have been checking out all the local spots. Tylers Taproom was last night, good spot for sure! Those downtown at the Marriott or Sheraton have a ton of options within walking distance. The Hampton Inn at Glenwood South is right in the middle of a happening area, and the Doubletree on Hillsborough is walking distance to the bars and eateries on NC State!

You're meaning after your 13 mile taper run that morning of course?

Bill, I would definitely be interested. I have a friend staying with me for the race and we haven't quite figured out our schedule for that day but it might be fun.

I'm fixing to head out now. I'll be wearing a blue 70.3 wristband ;-) I guess I'll also bring a trakkers visor in case that's hard to spot!
