Comments:

I hate the wind. We started in town and it was breezy but not bad. When we were out on the flats by the State Pen the wind was SSW making it a slight headwind but not bad. Through the mountains was okay. There is a jog in the road after Heartbreak hill that put us straight into the teeth of the wind and it was demoralizing. The trip for the turnoff to Stanley was almost straight downwind and was the last reprieve of the day. From Stanley to Santa Fe was into some type of headwind, and the trip on I-25 back could not have been over soon enough.

I knew the wind was going to be bad, and i wasn't having any fun for the last 40 or so miles.
What would you do differently?:

I will do another century but this one probably not. The course was challenging without the wind and just knowing what NM is like in the spring it's probably hard to catch this race when it's calm.

Event comments:

The aid stations/food stops were well stocked and great when I got there. I was pretty early at all of them though so can't speak to what they were like at the end of the day.
