OWS starts at SMP next Tuesday. I will likely be out there at least once a week between now and the St. Louis Tri. Anyone else make it out there on a regular basis?

Also, does anyone know the length of the loop?

I will certainly be out there a few times. It only costs a few bucks a trip, and it is worth every penny. I seem to recall it being 250 meters around the loop.

I'll be out there pretty often. Pretty short loops, but it's better than staring at a black line for an hour.

I estimate the loop to be 275 to 300 yards so in line with Jons estimate. I might go out for a brick workout once or twice

I will go out there quite a bit. Last year I took my kids a few times and they loved playing 'at the beach'. We'll do more of that this year.

I will be out there tonight wearing an Orca S3 wetsuit. If you see me say hi.

I think the loops might be a bit smaller this year. I did 10 loops straight on Tuesday, and only had 2150 yards with the garmin in my swim cap. Just an FYI...

I'll have my 910 on tonight and I'll see what I come up with.

Have fun, there were TONS of people there on Tuesday, likely because of the Corporate Challenge race on Sunday. Lots of bodies to dodge. But it was pretty awesome to see so many people!

I will be there as well. I have a Park Board meeting at 5:30 so I will likely be there at the tail end of the session. I will be in my ORCA S4 wetsuit.

I should be there early. KU tri shorts, and more than likely no top...

Randy have you swam much without the wetsuit? I only ask because I do not expect St. Louis to be wetsuit legal. It seems like it's probably 50/50 on whether it will be wetsuit legal (unless you plan to race with it regardless, even if it is over the 78 degree limit). Just a thought.
I'm going to try to be there are close to 6 so I may miss you.

I have only been in it one other time and that was last week and had a horrible swim, so I thought I would give it one more session and then swim next Tuesday without it. It will no doubt be very warm tonight.

YIKES! Just went outside...might have to reconsider wearing the wetsuit :-) Likely to drop 5 lbs in water weight walking from the beach to the water...

probably a good idea. That part of the lake doesn't stay cool very long.

Nice meeting you Mark! I opted to not wear the wetsuit tonight. My swim was much better - sighted better and felt more in control of my stroke as well.

Also finished up just in time - someone threw up at the first buoy right after I got out. I have heard of that happening in ocean swims or choppy water but never in flat water like this.

Well I missed you guys. I didn't get there until about 7 and i wonder how much vomit I inadvertently swam through. I always freak out a bit when you round the last buey and swim through that really warm patch.... I guess tonight thatshould have been the least of my concerns.
