FYI Iron Gear is closed down. If/when you go to Triple Sports, check out Tribe Multisport across the street by Frys.

Destination Kona is relatively new as a brick and Mortar store (Scottsdale Road and Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd) but has been an on-line presence for a while. The owners Brooke and John are very committed to, and an active part of, the triathlon community. I highly recommend you also go take a look at them. While I found Triple Sports to be a great shop (my limited experience at Tribe was not great) Destination Kona is my favorite.

I'd support any of the shops that have been mentioned, I just hate that all of them are located on the NE side of Scottsdale, which it makes it far more difficult and timely to get there from Ajo.

Why no mentions of Faster in Scottsdale?

Thanks tom.. Looks like I've got a good list to start from all of you. Friday can't come soon enough.

DK is great and John and Brooke are awesome people. As for Faster, they really only cater to high end budgets (verbatim from Jerry's mouth) so I wouldn't bother with them. Tribe is my go to for everything, ride with them on Saturdays, have been running with them forever and they take care of their friends (customers). Not to mention a great selection of Cdale, Cervelo, Focus, Scott etc...easily the best stocked store in town. Haven't really ever dealt with Triple Sports so can't comment on them.

One other thing to note, across the street from Faster is Cyclologic which has one of the best fitters around in Paraic McGlynn but you'll be waiting months for a fit.

When first going aero, your shop should begin by putting you in the least aggressive position. This means the aerobar pads will be almost level or just below the saddle.
