up early, banana, bagel with peanut butter, gatorade, couple of lengths, register day prior, not long to wait, first wave, lots of relay

after last week great swim considering cold weather and waves plus congestion, started slow and worked to rythym, as a result had lots of people to pass and that slowed me down, difficulty navigating due to foggy goggles

chain fell off on the uphill segement, cost me a few minutes, several passed me, loss of momentum, uphill from big sprocket to smaller with medium gear, check bike before next race, kid drafted me on a mountain bike for last quarter, he thoght it was tour de france i think, annoying but did not complain, he was a relayer

thanks for the encouragement. looks like your last race you toughed it out recovering from an injury. did you fall on the bike? nice that your kids were there to support you. nice to see a friendly face at the finish and to have a friend to train with. best of luck in your next race. up hear the season ends and we are stuck with running until late june.
