Run
Comments: Silly silly pacing. This is my first high intensity race (or workout) in months, so jumping in at sub-6:00 on a super hot day was foolish. I tried to slow it down for mile 2, but the adrenaline of being around so many runners meant I couldn't. I got totally burned on even the slightest incline--my legs just aren't strong enough yet. Gotta work on strength/hills. But ended with a solid last mile, even though it kind of hurt. What would you do differently?: Start slower and actually try to negative split, instead of flying and dying. Post race
Warm down: Ran for 30' w/ Phil. What limited your ability to perform faster: HEAT. Hydration. Lack of training. Last updated: 2013-06-02 12:00 AM
