Did the local dbl century yesterday. 204 miles in one day. Then I hopped on the first bus home to race the tri that got me back into this silly sport after being away from it for 21 years.

I figured this weekend was going to be my way to celebrate getting back into shape after many years off. I'd have been thrilled just to finish both events in less than 24 hrs total. My wife shook her head and thought I was nuts for even wanting to try

Set a personal best on sprint with a 1/2 mile swim. That time cut off a full hr of the first time I raced that same course last year. I had never rode more than 120 miles in one sitting before so I was pleased with the results there as well!

For anyone just getting started in this sport don't let anyone tell you, "you can't". All it really takes is some imagination, a little work in your spare time and if you're as lucky as I am, the unwavering support of your family. She may think I'm nuts but she is right behind me full of help and support every time!

Now it is time for a little nap

I assume you did the STP and then the Seafair Tri today? I remember seeing that posted in "Who's Racing." Amazing! Congrats!
