Pre-race routine:

I wanted to do well, so I skipped alcohol and had regular pre-race fuel: Gatorade Prime, granola bar, and banana.
Event warmup:

Sprinting back to my truck after realizing I had forgotten my ID. That was my warm-up!

Warm down:

Found friends, posed for pics, and grabbed my complimentary beer! Then tried to find shade - wasn't easy.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not enough leg strength to keep pushing uphill.

Event comments:

Parking was a nightmare. I heard they weren't prepared for the overwhelming turnout, and it showed in the parking situation. Hopefully they straighten it up next year, because it was a lot of fun and I definitely want to do it again.
