***I had posted this in the general discussion forum, but i think it is a bit more relevant here...

I'm contemplating my first tri bike purchase and have narrowed it down to the following bikes. My question is, assuming all of these are a fit for my body, which would you recommend?

2013 Felt B12
2012 Cervelo P2
2012 Felt AR4

I've narrowed this down based primarily on price (the '12 Felt AR4 is being heavily discounted at a nearby LBS, so the price is in line with the other two choices).

Thoughts? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I recently build me a P2 based on a 2008 frame.
I hear the frame remained unchanged since then.
By buliding it myself I was able to keep cost down and get some nicer components than on a stock bike.
If you are somewhat skilled that may be an option.

Which brings me to the point that the P2 is easily servicable.
The long steer tube makes for a high stack, which may prevent you from a super agressive position.

I can't comment non the other bike though.

The Felt AR4 isn't a tri bike, it's an aero road bike. If that's what you want, fine, but if you really want a triathlon bike don't compromise just because it's on sale.

If you're going to spend that kind of money on a bike, get a good fit first and buy whatever one fits you.

So, the three bikes I'm considering are:

2013 Felt B12
2012 Felt DA4
2012 Cervelo P2
