Tony has that same problem.

A bottle of wine the night before a race is NOT a good thing.  Even if you have others saying, 'oh come on - it's only a sprint!' DON'T believe them.  Clearly they are evil people who aren't racing the next day.

It's amazing that I was able to make it through the whole race without vomiting.

However... It was an AWESOME weekend, which culminated in meeting and talking to both Chrissy Wellington and Sister Madonna Buder for about 15 minutes and having our pictures taken with them.  What amazingly awesome, humble, gracious women.  It was a true honour to meet them.

Maybe a long hour?  But, she did say 15 minutes, so maybe that is a quarter hour?  Poor Canadians!!!!  :-)

Hahaha, oh, that had to have been horrible during the run, but I bet it was fun the night before
Totally envious of the Chrissie Wellington & Madonna Buder meets.... I would have loved to have met either, but especially Sister Buder.  Chrissie is awesome, but Sister Buder is pure inspiration.  The goose bumps when she crossed the finish were awesome!

I'm still bummed that we weren't able to come back out for lunch after the race, but it all works out for a reason.  Even with setting a land-speed record and getting back to CLE in under 6 1/2 hours (I *might* have speeding issues), it was still almost 9:30pm when we rolled in with an early rise yesterday, which was another LONG day, so it was all for the best.

You're a crazy man for doing all that racing over two days. It was so awesome to talk to both of them. Sister Madonna is exactly how you would imagine a triathleting nun to be.

Well, it certainly wasn't planned that way - at all.  I'm a (willing) victim of circumstance, I guess.

Warrior Dash was planned months and months ago to be run with the siblings, and just for fun, and it was supposed to be the only thing going on this weekend.  Then, I qual'd for AG Nats, which added a lot of crazy, but it seemed doable.  THEN, the girlfriend suggested that I switch to the early competitive wave so that we could both race it... BUT, I still had to run it with the siblings, which meant running it again.  Oy. "Full-On Crazy" achieved.

Sister Madonna is exactly how you would imagine a triathleting nun to be.

I keep trying to imagine this, and all I keep coming up with is "Awesome".

ETA:  Pic of me running to T1 is in USAT's Photo Gallery on their site!  Like the 12th pic from the bottom Cool

Because I'm cool. Just ask anybody. Chris met me over the weekend, and I just know he thinks I'm the bee's knees.
