Can any Philly Tri veterans recommend a good area to park and when to arrive on Sunday?

Thanks,

Bob

You should park for free on the grass near the Please Touch museum, grab your bike and bag and walk it all down Black Rd. At the bottom of the road will be people with sharpies doing numbering and the transition area.

I don't know if they actually enforce this or how well, but in the athlete guide it explicitly says NOT to park in the grass or you will be ticketed.

Excerpts:
"Please note that the Fairmount Park Commission and City of Philadelphia have communicated
to us that it is imperative you do not park in front of any portion of the Please Touch Museum
driveways and crosswalks. Parking on grass is prohibited and you will be ticketed."

"Parking for both the expo and the race is on the roads in front of the Please Touch Museum at
Memorial Hall, Fairmount Park."

Remember the early bird gets the good parking space!

At first I thought, "Oh boy, what a mistake!" Let’s face it, I could barely run half a mile, I had not swum in forever, and my biking skills were not great, to say the least.

This life of mine is not so different from yours. It has a multitude of similarities. I suffer from uncertainty, I get nervous at the thought of registering and when getting to the starting line.

I am not going to buy a tri-suit before my first tri - I want to make sure I am going to stick with this before I spend a lot of money on it so I want to figure out what will work best.

I couldn't believe that my splits kept getting lower! I started to run harder after I passed the "5 km" sign and picked a few people that I wanted to pass.

My sister warned me about being used as a launch ramp by faster swimmers but much to my surprise I was the one swimming over those in front of me. I went around one woman, then another.
