The past couple of days, I haven't been able to get inspires. When I click on the inspire button, a box pops up in the upper left corner of my monitor that says, "This tab has been recoverd. A problem wiht this web page caused Internet Explorer to close and reopen the tab."

This also happens when I go to a friend's page and click on their inspire button. I was able to access my inspires when clicked on the red number by my picture on a friend's friend list, but I could only read - couldn't post.

Using IE8

Exact same thing is happening to me as of this morning with a bit of a difference - I can't access ANY inspires.  Even by clicking on the red number beside names, I still get the "This tab has been recovered...".

Also using IE8

Yeah, it's an IE8 thing from the most recent enhancement of fixing the 'close' button at the bottom.  We're on it.

Sigh.  Things were so much easier when there was only IE to program to.  Take two steps forward, one step back.

Things were fine for me yesterday but today I can't receive or give inspires.

Just also piping in that I have this problem.  Can't view or leave inspires on my government computer.

I feel so uninspirational.

I'm glad to see that it's working (we're not touching a thing regarding this from now on).  I really do apologize for this.  If this continues to be a problem, we will resort it back to how it was by opening in a new window.  The reason we switched to the current way was that many new users didn't know that it opened it in a new window and many times, was hidden-minimized.
