Subject: Southern Wood Cty Tri?
Has anyone ever done the Southern Wood County tri in Wisconsin Rapids? Looks like it's been a long running event. Thinking of doing it this weekend if the weather cooperates.

I've done it the last few years.
Chilly water, really flat bike and run around the lake with just a couple short ups that is 3.6 or 3.7 long.
If you like small, friendly YMCA races that are not challenging it is perfect.
Unless you are 45-49 then I just remembered that it sucks so don't bother driving down.

Thanks! It's the first tri of the year and I like the smaller events to get my year going so I thought it would be a good one as long as it doesn't rain. Don't worry....I'm in the 40 to 44 bracket.

Weather does not look good. Unless it is severe with no end in sight I am still going over to the race. It's only 45 min away and I paid so why not.
If you do go and it is on I will be the red Giant bike on the first rack.

I have always been an athlete, growing up playing team sports like basketball and soccer. I also ran in a couple of 10K races every year, so I had no reason to worry about running a 5K...right?
