Packing for a training/race weekend out of town and you actually contemplate the need to pack underwear.

The interior of your car looks like the photos posted earlier and the outside is just as bad because going through the car wash requires removal of the bike rack and you don't have time to hand wash it.

When on vacation you pack more running biking swimming gear than normal or fancy clothes.

When you plan your vacations around places where you can rent a bike get in some ows and plan out at least 3 running routes for each stop on the trip.

In example last year on a cruise to Alaska, we ran in Juno, biked up the mountain in Skagway, and in Ketcatchiwan we went snorkeling in 7mm wet suits (Ill count that as the swim). Alaska Triathlon!

OK Magic, here's the real question: do you wear that helmet when you're doing your bike races--the indoor velodrome stuff and tts, or do you have two aero helmets, and this one you got so you could specifically emblazen "Tri Dork" (pure win, btw) on the side?

I'm not yet sure which answer is going to make you more of a tri dork... :)

Have worn that helmet as is for TT's, have not worn it on the track. I do wear Tri shoes on the track and socks... which is some sort of major cycling fashion blunder.

^^^ This one is soooo true at my house. In fact, this morning I got up to shower and my towel was so damp it was gagging. But that's what I get for taking a shower last night at 9:00 and again this morning at 5:00. My wife said that maybe I should start haning my towels outside over the deck railing. Maybe then I would actually use a dry towel. LOL.

This is a good one, I actually installed a second towel rack in my bathroom, have two towels at any time hanging and drying.

I'm also lucky to have a large office and have two towels there as well.

OMFG!! I have no idea what NLC means. I am an ignorant tri dork

Never Left Couch!

That's not bad, What does FOA mean?  I have a feeling I'm missing an easy one.

You feel lazy if you only did one workout for the day...

You get excited when you log a workout, and look at the data gathered during it.

Your coworkers think you're insane, and you embrace it.

You're happy that the gear in your car is worth more then your car.

FOA = First Over All (I was a little liberal in my OA usage HAHA)

Many of these have already been said, but they all hit hime for me.

1 - You do more athletic gear laundry than any other laundry.

2 - You carry more athletic gear than work bags.

3 - There are always 3 pairs of running shoes in my Xterra

4 - Work out bag/swim bag are always packed and ready to go

5 - Never throw out your old retired goggles

6 - Have a seperate cabinet in the kitchen just for GUs, drink mixes, energy bars, etc. And it still ends up on the counter.

You HAVE more workout clothing than any other type of clothing

For the ladies - you use your backpack/workout bag more often than carrying a purse

You keep finding random pairs of goggles in various other workout bags

Your collection of water bottles from various races starts taking over kitchen cupboards

More workout clothing than any other type of clothing--check

I don't own a purse, but I have two tri bags--check, sort of

A friend needed a pair of goggles the other day, and I had *gulp* seven pairs in one bag.  In my defense, I had just gone through a long period of trying to find ones that effing worked (Tyr nest-woot woot)--check

I haven't done enough races to have a water bottle problem yet, but here's my big confession (deep breath):  The MIL apartment downstairs has become my tri cave.  Computer (BT, ST, trainer road), trainer, fridge, W & D (for my stuff only, but I also do my regular laundry in there), utility sink (perfect for wetsuit washing), fridge, shower.  And the root cellar--with all tri snacks and keg--directly across the hall.

When my almost three year old sees me, he runs up to give me a hug, stops short, and asks "Are you sweaty Mama?" Nice.

Same thing here with the goggles, and ended up LOVING the TYR nest!  It feels like I've tried everything on the market (and I just found a pair of AquaSpheres still in the packaging in the closet)... and now I think they're multiplying in every bag I find them in.

1. You ask for Gu instead of candy in your Christmas stocking or Easter basket.

2. You call your guest bathroom your "locker room" and being the summer, it is full of sand from OWS

When your colleagues ask you during lunch how long and how fast you run this morning and you give them a detailed explanation about the importance of training by HR zones vs running as fast as you can

Here are mine:

Even your "nice" watch has a rubber wristband.
Getting up at 4AM to get the "good" lane at the pool is totally reasonable.
You have showered more at the gym/pool than you have at home
You overanalyze EVERY race result

You look at all/most of these responses and think either, "Yep, that seems totally reasonable" or "Ooh good idea, I hadn't thought of that yet."

Oh my, I am not worthy! I can't check any of the items you've all listed here. I don't even spend more time on BT than FB although I admit sometimes it seems so.
