Now that it's sold out, who's all going???

I will be rocking out in the Male 35-39 Age Group.  Hoping for top 50% (I know, it's a stretch goal).

One of my tri club ladies might have gotten the absolutely last spot the other day.  There were 12 openings when she started registering and right after she was done it closed.  We have 2 others from our Sioux City tri club on the wait list too.

Good luck!!

Iowa HEAT?  They are still around?  Strange.  I thought they fell apart when everyone realized how lame the group was....  LOL  Just kidding!!!  My A game is probably somewhere in the B- to C+ range compared to that group of studs.

But the A game will be brought.    :-)

I'll be getting my butt kicked in the M40-44 age group.  Hoping for top 50% as well... I *think* I have a reasonable shot at it; probably not.

I'm racing as well in the M35-39 group.

This will be a fast race, not sure what to expect. I am just excited to be there.

I am in for M30-34...I'm expecting an extremely rough swim with lots of contact given size of race and course layout, as well as a very fast bike and run course. Should be fun!

I'll be there M40-44.  First time since 2008 in Portland.  I really just want to enjoy my race.  No chance of placing, so just want to soak it in.  I'll be the one only riding 21 mph being passed by everyone else.

What I remember from 2008, is that even riding my best @23+ mph, the leaders were at 25-26 mph.  Then on the run where I was happy at 7:30 miles, the leaders were sub 6.   Hard to make up that time.  This time I told my wife I will enjoy my race and take in the event.  It was all kind of a blur last time.

If they don't squeak on yourteeth, they're no good.  Hold out for squeaky!

I hope we get a chance to meet.  Maybe you can give we a swat on the butt, when you blow by me, if, that is, I'm ever ahead of you ;)

For most age-group triathletes, getting the most out of there time for quality workouts can be daunting. Think outside the triangle to get a little more.

The start of the race I had the jitters. I was watching the other age groups start as they seeded the swim with over 1000 participants.
