A friend has let me borrow his ~2007 Zipp 404 Tubulars. If my training rides are about 20/25 miles as I am mostly doing sprints right now, is it a bad idea to just keep them on all the time or should they be used just for race day?

I have zipp 404 (front) and 808 (back). I ride them all the time. My power tap is in the rear wheel. I have been riding on them since I got them in 2010. No issues with me. I subscribe to the train how you will race theory though. I almost always swim ows in a wetsuit too. Just because that's what I do on race day!

I do know folks who prefer to train on less aero wheels, but since I train with power, that doesn't really make much sense for me.

I think in your situation I'd ask the generous friend who lent you the wheels. Are THEY ok with you riding them all the time, or did they intend for you to use them only on race day.

I'd do some training rides with them and then put them away till race day.

Stuff happens, you don't want to damage them.
Tubulars flat too, do you have replacements ready?
