And it's written by Chrissie Wellington.  If you're checking this site out as a complete newbie who has just decided to start tri'ing, or thinking about tri'ing, this one's for you:

The best thing about Chrissie is how humble she is...

In 2007, I raced my first Ironman on a road bike (not the normal TT bike used for Ironman racing) with regular wheels. I borrowed my friend's race kit, and wore a $20 pair of sunglasses I bought from a gas station in New Zealand three years prior to the race.

How many other pro triathletes would not mention the fact they won that race (and every IM distance race they ever did)?

I always love reading the comments at the bottom of articles...from the funny (padded shorts because I like my boys protected) to the truely inane)

Great stuff from the greatest who still remembers the "smallest"

We really need something like that front and center when someone clicks beginners or beginners articles here ... just a note to self! We do have a (slightly more detailed) one from Bruce V, it's great ... I gotta remind Ron (it used to be 1st article when clicking those items)

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.

It’s just so discouraging to know that within a few more weeks those New Years’ Resolutionists are going to quietly disappear.
