Just a short half mile walk with Kristie
Run
  • 31m 32s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 10m 10s  min/mile
Comments:

My goals for this race were pretty simple since it was my come back race:
1. No walking
2. Negative split

I did both of those things, so I should be happy with my results, but of course I'm not. This race is usually after my summer "A" race so I'm in good shape for it and can pull in a sub 30 with no real effort. So it was very difficult to see a 31:XX time on the clock, over two minutes slower than last year.
What would you do differently?:

I purposely started at the back to keep myself in check. In retrospect, I started way too far back, but that can be hard to judge.

In November of 2000, I noticed that I was losing the feeling in my toes. The sensation traveled up my body and within a week, I was nearly 80% paralyzed.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve had weight issues. I remember standing on the scale as a child weighing 60 pounds and feeling fat. My family dealt with stress by eating.
