Goggles filled with water on my first stroke. It was not only gross because the water was green but it was really painful and burned my eyes by the end of the swim. Had to doggy paddle at times to see where I was going. Eyes were normal again after about halfway through the bike.

Huge run from the lake to transition. Really good towards the end of this transition. Good time if you subtract me having to pop my sunglasses lens back into the slot which took about 30-45 seconds.

This plan is designed to make you go faster. 3 workouts per week in each sport, 2 days of strength training and core work. The maximum volume is around 10 hours toward the end of the 12 weeks.

Since your “A” race is your marathon, which you stated in your question, this should be your main focus. I encourage you to taper a bit for the sprint distance triathlon.
