Perhaps this is TMI, but my children's mom and I 'did it' up until the last minute and it didn't seem to make any difference. The baby shows up when the baby is ready.

You need to reproduce. The world NEEDS more Comets! Wink

Well, thats just what I've heard.

Really? Ya really, really think so?
I don't. I'm sure they're will be plenty of people to back me up saying I don't need to reproduce.

In the words of Bill Cosby:

"Push him out, Shove him out, WAAaaaaay OUT! Push him out, Shove him out, WAAaaaaaaa OUT!!"

Doing the above in the labor room, caused me to receive the death glare. Luckly the epideril was soon administered. So she forgot all about it.

I think we can handle it. But it will certainly be TMI for Fi when she's, oh, say 13 years old or so.

she could have a glass of wine. even dr. sears says a glass of wine in latent/early labor can help thing along - helps mom relax a bit and then things can progress.

oh, and i said walking above...walks and blowing raspberries 'thhhhhhhppppt' if you relax your jaw, you can release tension, and you can't have a tense jaw while blowing raspberries. this is in a labor book, i swear!

You're still quite young, and I have become a firm believer in two things:

A) No one - NO ONE - should ever get married before age 30. You need to 1) have lots of fun 2) learn how to be single and independent and 3) get the wild oats of your system.

B) No one also should have children before age 30. You can bring them into a much more stable environment if you wait until you're older.

I guess I'd be a disapointment to you then..... I got married at 18.... been married 12, almost 13, years now and I had #1 at 20 and #2 at 24.  We seem to be well-adjusted and stable.......

Yes, I was ignoring that post as well. Fatherly advice not wanted thankyouverymuch, especially since I'm not looking to have children anytime soon, much less a marriage.

You don't see me offering up my opinion about jumping into a relationship right out of a divorce, much less before your divorce is final.

That's actually good advice.  A midwife told us that "blowing" was actually more helpful than sex because the chemical you're trying to get (I forget what it's called) gets to the place it's supposed to get more directly or something.  I don't know the technical details, but I kmnow it worked.  Within hours.  It was freaky.

bill never got the glare, or any harsh words, but i was pretty irked with him a few hours after ella's birth. he was VERY involved in the birth, supporting me, helping me, massaging me. this all was great...but after ella was born (after a 3 day induction, 17+ hours of hard labor, almost 4 hours of pushing, and two 3rd degree tears), all the nurses were doting on him saying what a great job he had done and how they had never seen a dad SO involved in a birth. um, HELLO! over here! the cute red-headed baby & the woman w/ stitches in her you know what sitting on a frozen maxi pad the size of alaska! after he was done being admired, he promptly fell asleep and slept for the rest of the day. i would have been more irked had i not had a cute little ella to moon over while he snored away.
