Hi everyone... Quick question. For some reason, I can't seem to remember from when I registered for IMLP '11...

Do I need a usat annual membership to register? Or is it just like any other tri where you can buy a one day membership at packet pick up? Thanks. It's funny how you forget all the logistics once you have completed an IM.

Just wanted to add when I went to register for a WTC half last year my card was still current but would have expired before the race. I was not allowed to register which seems crazy because with a full you have to register a year in advance.

True story.  Happened to me too.  I was a little taken aback.

I had the opposite experience.

I registered for IMWI in September 2012 without a USAT membership.

I didn't pay for USAT until after Jan 2013 (when I registered for Racine 70.3).

You do have options.  If you are unsure if you want to renew your annual license a year in advance, you can simply register and pay for the 1 day license.  If the following year you decide you want the annual license, you can apply for it and provide the reciept of your 1 day license and they will subtract that from your annual license fee.

Or I believe you can simply renew your annual license early.  For example if you are a current annual license holder in 2013, I believe you can add a year on right now and it would be effective from Jan 2014-Dec2014.  They also sell multiple year licenses if you wanted to say buy a 3 year license.
