Comments:

Today was a lot more hot and humid than last week. So, although I would have liked to be faster, my goal was really to finish and not get overheated. I wasn't too much slower - less than a minute - so that's good. It takes me a good mile before my legs start to loosen up. I guess that's why I like 10ks and 1/2 marathons better. ;) Tried to drink water and every opportunity. Some of the residents in the neighborhood had extra water stops and hoses out, which was really nice.

Rocked my new shoes. Arches were a little sore at first, but I really like them.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around, ate some chips from Moe's, and went back to the car to drive home.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Heat

Event comments:

Fixed some of the issues from previous weeks. Nice to see them incorporating feedback so quickly.

It is smart to slow down in that type of heat and humidity. Great job!

LOVE those new shoes!!!  Heat and humidity suck, you were wise to not push too much and drink often.  Nice run!

Sa-weet shoes!

You should warm up for your 5Ks. Especially since you said it takes a mile or so to loosen up.

Great job!

Nice job out there!  The new shoes look great :-)  Glad they straightened out the food thing at the end.

I know...I'll try it next week.  I need to get there earlier and try to warm up ahead of time.
