I have always worn shorts over my tights because I am self conscious. Now that I know the truth, people are laughing more because of the shorts than they would be without, I will go without this winter! It might just be a very freeing experience

I think it is clear a woman wrote at least that point. Men love it.

I appreciate good looking hair - but running with hair not tied back is NOT attractive. Not even in that "sexy/sweaty" kind of way. It's just gross. Unless the woman isn't running hard enough to work up a sweat, that is. Maybe that's the difference in what we're talking about.

I dunno, personally I like the ponytail that swings back and forth like a metronome. It's hypnotic.

See, and if that's the case, then she's not really working out, she's doing whatever-it-is for vanity. Which I guess if she's "running" with her hair down, she is more concerned with vanity.

I agree, it's gross and I find it highly annoying.

Sometimes tuck in my shirt. It just doesn't always cooperate, so occasionally I tuck.

Shorts over tights. When I first got tights it was a modesty thing. Now I do it for layers. Besides, have you ever tried pulling your tights on OVER your shorts? Generally not a good look.

I haven't worn a tri-suit to a 5k, but I've thought about it.

Seems like headphones, iPods and GPS watches should have made it on the list in some way...

I always tuck the shirt in and agree shorts over tights for the layer effect. My feelings are it makes me comfortable and comfort improves my performance. I would never dare to tell anyone else how they should dress for anything.

Yes. It. Is.

Also, I tuck in my shirt when I wear my hydration belt.

I wear shorts over tights. Sometimes I need an extra layer to make sure my boys stay warm.

The USMC butt huggers (not what we called them but edited for PG audiences) for all their faults were about the most comfortable running shorts ever. It was like running naked, with support. Unfortunately a knee injury in Quantico cut my tenure with them short, but I do recall them fondly.

I don't go shorts over tights.

I do wear tri shorts to race/run in, but never a trisuit at a 5K, but I did see "that guy" and "that girl" once at a team relay race at the San Antonio zoo.

I too am among the "Johnny Cash" running group....all black, all the time, except for race day and sometimes even then.

I can't do shorts over tights.  And luckily it's only cold enough here to have to wear tights 3-4 times a year on long runs.

Prerace swag from upcoming Seaweeze half marathon in Vancouver, B.C.  Race is sponsored by Lululemon.  Women get matching color but much shorter.  Nice to get something other than the usual t-shirt.

Ahhh... that is nice. They're too long. On someone else they'd be just fine, but on a good cyclist? Too long :)

I like the shorts over tights look. I like the swinging ponytail too (maybe because I can't grow hair that long)

I've seen the tri suit at 5k and hope they are "testing" their race gear.

I confess to "matchy matchy". I've gone a bit purple crazy since I got the bike with a purple stripe.

My son has a theory that shorts should match the speed of the runner. i.e. shorty shorts = 5 minute mile, basketball shorts = 13 minute mile. Laughing

I don't think the "matchy matchy" rule holds for biking, does it? After reading this, was wondering if I was a bit too matchy this morning (everything pretty much matched, including my outfit and the bike, though not really on purpose--just what was clean) but when I showed up for a group ride, almost everyone else was in matching jerseys, shorts, and socks, some of which coordinated with the bikes. And I was the only woman, and probably the only one under 50. Go figure.

matching is required for cycling per the rules. a lot of cycling is fashion centered and being mismatched just makes you stand out in a not so good way among hardcore riders.

i don't get the not wearing shorts over tights thing. how else am i supposed to wear them? should i just be wearing compression shorts in the summer then too?

guilty of the matching thing too. was pretty bad this weekend and some cars that drove by made sure to let me know i was.

I don't mind the shorts over tights look, but then again, I also love wearing my socks with flip flops - I find naked feet gross

the bare chest anything day run is kind of gross when you are hairy - I did a race last week where the guy was shirtless and had nipples pierced. was kind of nasty

now the free flow hair girl - when she's all shaking her long hair and invading my space, I want to do more than put it in a hat for her - I want to BYU soccer girl her hair

never really into fashion I tend to wear what feels good to me. When racing I care about doing my best not how I look doing it

Yes, the Dual is a little heavier than Cervèlo’s high end counterparts. But…the price is within reach of the masses and it still incorporates all of the design features that make a Cervèlo special.
