Good morning BT!

About to head out on the bike. I'm going with a total newbie rider, should be interesting! She is doing her first ever tri in August (I am doing it with her). It's so exciting for me to finally have another person to do things with once in a while!

After the ride I will probably do something else...not sure what yet!

swam this am - 1250 yds - but the 8x100 sprints I did sucked!! running tonight and thankfully its cool - the weather in DC has dropped for the next couple of days after being in the high 90's/100's last week - which made for some really sucky training sessions

Putting in a 7 mile run this evening around 6pm, supposed to still be in the mid to lower 90's then...

Have a great day.

Hoping to get a quick 5 mile run in tonight. We have a three week old at home, so training has become challenging. Keeping everything short so I don't neglect father/husband duties.

I did Run/Walk 8/2 for a total of 30 minutes...getting pretty close to 30 minutes nonstop and checking off my first short term goal!!
I think it was a thread a week or so ago that talked about how getting back in shape sucked, and someone said getting OUT of shape sucks, but getting BACK into shape is great. That is how I'm feeling today.

I'm using a run/walk plan for my training as well - right now 3 run/1 walk, but its working and my foot is being decidely less finicky since I started doing it vice just going out and running like i was...I figure I'll do another week or so at that rate, and then up it - I've never been a fast runner, so i would be content with a 9-10 minute mile

Yeah, I'm a big time slow poke. I get stoked anywhere in the 10:XX range. Run/Walk is the way to go when starting out to stay injury free!

I'm using this pretty good interval app I found in the itunes store - you set the fast/slow interval - one alerts you with the alarm, the other with a vibration - and it worked really well - i'm looking forward to heading out for my run tonight and I was right on track the other night when I ran - the website I read said if you want a 10 minute mile do a 3/1 split - my first mile was 10:02, the second 10:03 and the 3rd was like 10:10...so I ended up with 3.25m in 33 minutes -

42 mile ride in Paradise, AKA just outside Eugene, Oregon. Not really training for anything in particular at the moment, just enjoying beautiful weather. Hoping to get in master's swim tonight, probably 3000-3500m; rest up tomorrow for sprint tri on Saturday.

I'm on the other side of the college-student desk. I'm the one with the red pen in my hand. Those of us with schedules that change from day to day actually have an advantage, I think.
