Just feel like yelling it out right now. I just registered for IMLP 2014 via the Syracuse 70.3/IMLP bundle. I finished IMLP in '11 and it was one of the greatest thrills of my life. Rooms are booked and now it's time to try and stop freaking out.

Where did you book a room? I signed up today the same way.

Maple leaf inn. Stayed there last time. I highly recommend it. It's nothing fancy, but the rates are good and within walking distance to town. The owners, Rod and Barb, are great people.

Congrats! I was going to do the same (did it last year) but signed up for Boulder instead. Glad to be back in the saddle - I love Ironman!

Mike congrats and good luck. The bundle seemed like a good way to get in early. I did Syracuse this year as well and that is a good prep race for LP. I did not sign up though. After all the training for IMWI this year I think I need a break. Plus I think my wife would've killed me. Maybe 2015.

I have Bontrager Race Lite wheels. I was looking into renting Zipp 303's or 404's for race day for Ironman Lake Placid. What time will I save?

I got a new pair of the same size / brand of shoes and started running on them. On my left foot, the toe next to the big toe starts to get a little painful and goes numb after the first 1-3 miles.

I am running Boston in April and Ironman Lake Placid is in July. I have been told that it is ambitious to think about doing an IM so close to a marathon due to the recovery time. Any suggestions?

My thanks to the triathlete community for being there when I need you. That’s the beautiful thing about triathletes. None of us are all right, and no one expects anyone else to be.

The first time I ventured into the deep murky green lake and could not see the bottom my muscles tensed and my imagined fears surfaced. What exactly lies beneath?

If you are calm while everyone around you is losing it, you probably don’t know what the hell is going on.

The 112/4 Race Rehearsal Brick. If done correctly, the RR is usually no more stressful than a regular training ride, and that is probably the point.
