Subject: Ultras in the PNW?
Looking to do an ultra-marathon next year and wondered if anyone has suggestions. My search-fu seems to be failing me. I've found a couple and a ton of blogs that look outdated.

Anyone have a suggestion for a good race (driving distance from Seattle) in the late winter/spring timeframe?

What distance are you looking to do?  It may be a little early for your timeframe but Baker Lake 50k in October is a great race.  I've not done it but have researched it and did a short recon hike of the trail.  I'm doing my first ultra (12 hour) in three weeks in Bellingham.

I'd like to try a 50 miler. There are 2 near Enumclaw that I know of, but looking for others. Spring next year is ideal given the other races I want to do, but late fall might be ok too.

Check Evergreen Trail Runs. They have several throughout the year.

Thanks - I didn't realize evergreen ran so many races. Even better, there are several that basically start within a 10 min drive from my house. I didn't find any spring races that were a match, but from the evergreen search I managed to find a race in Mt. Si which looks perfect.
