Comments:

With all the rain and flooding lately, the river was very high and the current was extremely fast. The swim was cancelled and replaced with a 2 mile run. Based on my time for the first run, this was clearly not 2 miles!

People were complaining about the course afterwards, but I thought it was fun! Hilly and very challenging, but still fun! This time includes both transitions.

I felt great during the run. It was hot but the trail is shaded and it wasn't too bad.

Warm down:

Nothing really. Changed my clothes and stopped for some of the best pizza ever before heading home.

Event comments:

This is a fun little local race. There was a very small turn out this year and I will not be surprised if they don't do it next year.

At first I thought, "Oh boy, what a mistake!" Let’s face it, I could barely run half a mile, I had not swum in forever, and my biking skills were not great, to say the least.
