If I sign up on the spot for IMFL 2014 will I pay there or pay later? I have done IMFL 2006 and IMFL 2008 and both were different. I am trying to get my $$$$ situated so I will be ready to roll.

For this year, you had to pay on the spot.

2008 or 2009 was the last year for the voucher. Since then it's pay to play.

I just found out that all the volunteer slots are filled. I am hoping that being onsite Sunday morning for registration will work out.....keeping fingers crossed. I know trying to sign up online is a bad idea for IMFL.

there's a wait list for the volunteers and I'm on it. They said most likely I will get one because it changes every day. Get on it!

Is there an onsite line that gets priority over the online registrants later in the day? I heard this was going away. (Not talking about volunteers)

From years past online registration opens after the onsite registration has closed.

If you just go to the volunteer meeting you get get a shirt and ajob most likely. The volunteer captain is.....um less than organized.  No one will know the difference.  I've been to IMFL the last 7 years, raced 6 and voluteered one. They always have last minute jobs that need doing and many people don't show up.  No worries

Often it makes sense to race slower in order to finish faster and at the same time have a more enjoyable Ironman Triathlon experience.
