Just when you think something was going to happen....it didn't....and then when you didn't see something coming...it happened.

Hands down, one of the best endings to a series.

Excellent ending! I loved that it touched on everything - Walt found a way to get his family the money, he took care of the neo-nazi scumbags, he scared the crap out of the Grey Matter folks, he used the ricin in the most awesome way (loved the scene with Walt talking to her on the phone), Marie will have Hank's body and some closure and best of all, JESSE IS FREE!!!

I was skeptical about the writers pulling it off, because there seemed to be so many loose ends, but they did a phenomenal job!

" I did it for me.  I liked it.  I was good at it.  I was ...alive."

The scene with Walt watching Flynn through the window really, really got to me.  I couldn't imagine that being the last time I ever saw my son.

I thought the entire final sequence with Jesse and the Nazis and Walt was pretty amazing.  The  relentless spraying of the machine gun, well after everyone was dead, was a great reinforcement of the ridiculous and overbearing nature of Walt's behavior over the past few years.

Jesse finally breaking free of Walt's will, and then just "breaking free" was great.

And the final scene, with Walt looking over the meth lab with a sense of pride tinged with regret... well... what can you say?

Perfect.

Was in Europe last week and was not able to watch the final episode.  Just watched it a few nights ago and I also loved it.  The writers did a great job of wrapping everything up and not leaving us, the audience, to "make our own conclusions" (which is always a cop-out IMO).  Once again BB proves why it is one of the best TV drama series EVER!

Now I can only wallow in my sorrow that the series is done.

Who would have thought that garage door openers could be so significant in TWO areas:

Hank hitting the button to open up a can of s**t.

Walt hitting the button to tie up loose ends....

Interesting connection. Perhaps Gilligan is secretly a Judd Apatow fan. IIRC, the series Freaks and Geeks ended with one of the kids using a found garage door opener to discover what house in town his Dad was going to for an affair. The series wasn't renewed, and we never saw what happened next.

Watched the pilot and second episode again, saw some more connections to the series end.

The first time Walt and Jesse make contact in the series where the proposed partnership is introduced, it is at night, and they're outside. In their final scene together, they're also outside, at night.

And halfway through the pilot, Jesse has already been pistol-whipped. I think he had more screen time with a beat up face than not!

Rest in peace, Walt.   Cry

Just about to go into panic mode with the show being over.     Wait!  The new season of the Walking Dead starts Sunday.

Cool

I binge watched it this past weekend. Finished the finale this morning. I agree with everything you wrote on this page. I'm not going back to read all the pages and posts....Just, amazing show and the finale was perfect. I was worried/dreading the end, that Walt would die in a shoot-out with the DEA or police. I'm so glad it ended the way it did:

Walt causing his own demise, and Jesse breaking free. I'm so glad he strangled that crazy a-hole too.

And since I can't get enough, I think I'm doing this:

The off-season is the best time to fine tune your skills and prepare yourself for the next season. It is also time for you to gain some strength and get a little rest after a long season of training.

If you develop a strategy for the off-season, you can go into the next season stronger than you ended the past season.
