It was awesome. The final scene between Hank and Walt was so intense. "Tread lightly"

I thought the first 10 min and the last 5 were just awesome TV.

I was waiting for Walt to have a mid-vomit "AHA" moment.

So I guess he's keeping the cancer treatment a secret from Skyler again right?

When Walt shot Mike, he was rocking those tan shoes, khaki's, and a tan jacket. Like completely 1 solid color.

Didn't Gus wear sweaters and do the towel folding routine under the knees?

Yup. What's up with drug kingpins and the need for a folded towel under their knees while they puke?

I also thought the first 10 minutes were so good - but raised tons of questions! Very excited to see how this seaons plays out.

And every scene with Jesse is just heartbreaking! Poor little drug dealer with the heart of gold.

I'm going to have to keep from clicking on this thread, but it's so difficult not to....... I just finished the last epsiode that was part of Season 5 on Netflix and am going to have to wait unitl the last episodes are there in a few months. I watched those last 8 episodes pretty quickly and really enjoyed them. I can't wait to see how it all ends up.

Great show !

The final scene was epic and the phrase "If you really don't know who I am then I would tread lightly." has me excited to see how this all unfolds. My guess is that the vial of poison is not for him but for Skyler who does not handle the chaos very well.

OK so I tuned in about 3 mins late.  I saw Walt get the vial of Ricin from their old house.  Anything significant before that?

Tuned in? Not DVR'ing and backing up? To borrow from another thread, what are you, Amish?

I love the "Talking Bad" show that airs later. I also think the Onion AV Club does great coverage of the show.

this is a great article right here. http://www.avclub.com/articles/why-the-end-of-breaking-bad-doesnt-a...

I have so few people around me in real life who are fans like me, so when I found one, I got excited. I took my son to Tae Kwon Do Monday night, and when I greeted his 20year old make teacher with "hello Carol," he smiled, but my son was confused.

We are in a rental condo while our new house is being finished.  So yeah, live TV for me.... ask me how I watched the Tour.  It was horrible...

What an episode.  I can't wait to see how the season unfolds and finishes.  I'd have to say it is probably the best TV series I have ever watched.  I can't wait to see how Hank pursues his new found knowledge.  So intriguing & SOOOO GOOD!

Not sure if anyone watches the talk show on AMC called Talking Bad (http://www.amctv.com/shows/talking-bad)?  It is an hour after the show and I really enjoyed listening to everyone's perspective on the show.  They had Vince Gilligan on as a guest along with the wife in Modern Family (can't think of her name).  It is obvious she is an obsessed fan!

So glad they brought everything in the open in the first episode, should make the rest of the season very interesting. I've never seen Hank so angry and "tread lightly" had me jumping up on the couch... best face-to-face conversation ever!!!

Saul and Hank have the best lines. Glad to find this thread!

i was surprised they had the hank-walt confrontation in the very first episode.  i agree, it's a good choice, the tension for the next 7 will be crazy, but i had thought they were going to leave us hanging till the end (well - the AMC show model would put the big confrontation in the 2nd to last episode)....

I was doing that when Hank closed the garage door..... Oh it's on now..... Was it just me or did Walt's attitude seem to flip flop during that conversation from "I'm innocent" to "BA"? Of course culminating in the "tread lightly" comment.

Yes, it totally changed right at the end... from the innocent, scared Walt from early on -> to the no-bs, get-er done, straight up kingpin.

I don't think she's scared of Walt at all.

I do, however, think she's scared of what her involvement with Walt's "enterprise" will mean for her family.

So, does Jesse flip?

What is this world coming to when the True Blood thread is destroying the BB threat in terms of posts and views. A travesty I say!!!

You have a point. I watch both, but I only care about Breaking Bad. I finally discovered the BB Insider podcast. I went through the last couple episodes from season 5 part 1, then the first two 5.2 so I am caught up.

The thing about Bb is that it's so well-written there is nothing to complain about. Each character acts in a way that is believable based on what they know. There are few flaws in the show. It is dramatic masterwork.

True Blood, on the other hand, drives its own fans insane with its silliness, muddled stories and complete flip flops. But it has hot naked people, so we keep watching and getting mad. That just means more to talk about.

If you develop a strategy for the off-season, you can go into the next season stronger than you ended the past season.
