Subject: Triathlete training for ING New York Marathon I finished my Half Ironman in California Wine Country and my knees survived. Now it's time to train for ING NYCM. As a triathlete I plan on adding some bike and swim training to Marathon Training plan. I think the kick drills with fins at Masters swim workouts will help my leg muscles without strain on my weak knees. I am hoping at least some bike riding with maybe some hills worked in could strengthen my knees. I also plan on wearing my knee braces both in training and the race itself. |
