Event warmup:

quick swim
  • 37m 34s
  • 2112 yards
  • 01m 47s / 100 yards

Stayed away from the crowd, took it easy, breathing was great, overall slow, but fine with that
What would you do differently?:

longer, smoother strokes, get in the mix

  • 13.1 miles
  • 07m 46s  min/mile

Other than stomach pain, went well. kept cadence at 90 and hr in zone 2/3 until last 5 miles. stomach pain started immediately at beginning of run - never had it before - think it was the propel from the bike segment - never used it before this race.
What would you do differently?:

maybe go harder sooner, figure out nutrition sooner.
Post race
Warm down:

catch breath, try not to vomit, minor stretching,

Event comments:

Some mistakes I made during the Hawaii Ironman 70.3. Don't be caught out on the course not knowing how or not having the equipment to change a flat tire.
