Absolutely.  I have no idea how long it will take, but if you want in I'd register on day one....then you're good.

If I was to sign up I would sign up today. Sounds like a lot of fun but I would be scared on the bike for sure. I might pass on this one for the same reason I do not complete in crits (also sounds like fun but scary).

I signed up this morning. I hadn't considered being concerned on the bike course... But maybe I need to think about it a little more...

Plus I might just want to watch the pros which is kinda hard if you are racing. Even if your done. It would still be cool though.

I know the website does a horrible job with this, but the race is NOT draft legal for age groupers. Only pros compete draft legal in these races.

What concerns you about the bike course?  I don't ask as a challenge or out of sarcasm.  I'm asking because I was thinking of signing up.  This Sat (8/24) will be only my 2nd tri so I wouldn't want to register for something that was possibly dangerous due to my lack of experience.  Thanks.

Its not draft legal that was my biggest concern really. I still not the best on turns and sounds like there are a lot but it might not be so bad.

Then again last 2 tris I got spoiled doing the Chi tri which has 4 turns over 24 miles and this one going to be like a 4 or 6 loop course?

Likely . . . I did my part to make it so this morning (signed up for Olympic) . . . $30 savigs vs. registering tomorrow and $50 savings (i.e., more than cost of annual USAT membership) vs registering after Jan 1.

The pro race is in the afternoon. Long after the AG'er's are finished. I plan to spectate.

I just signed up! I would think this will fill up pretty fast.

I'm glad I was browsing BT today! I'm from Chicago and this will be the first time my family will get to be around when I race.

$120 for an Oly downtown Chicago? That's a STEAL today!

Any word on something like an elite amateur wave, like Chicago Tri has? This looks interesting, but don't like the crowding potential.

I registered yesterday with the discount!

The concerning part is definitely the bike course, especially if it's a 4-6 loop course. It's going to be packed, scary and slow.
