Anyone do this last year? How's the course, race, etc. I am signed up this year. Did Lake Geneva many years ago, before tri rock. Thanks for the help!

Not finding a lot, other than race reports. It's a beautiful area. 630 AM start for the Oly is a little on the early side, but will be done before it gets too hot out.

Yes 630 is a bit early.  The sunrise for September 14th is 6:34a.m.

I have a feeling it will be a great first Olympic distance for me.  Looking forward to it.

Well, haven't been able to garner much info on this one, but signed up any way. Found out a friend from town is going also. Will post a detailed race report when done.

Will post a race report, but curious what everyone thought of the race?

630am start for the OLY was pushed back to 715 since the air temp was 36 degrees. Why even try to start so early?

Loved the swim, that is the clearest and most beautiful water I have ever swam in. I felt like I was watch other swimmers on an underwater camera from 15-20 feet away.

I enjoyed it. I was VERY pumped when they pushed back the start time. I agree...why 630 to begin with?? It turned out to be great weather. I was a bit disappointed in the "music". They made it seem like this thing was a big party, live music everywhere. I saw none of that. Overall, good race though.

I agree on the music. Vegas Rock and Roll lived up to it's name, but all I saw was a couple speakers at the finish area. I expected to be in "Aerosmith" wave, or something!
