Subject: What program or site do you use to record workouts?
I've been using Sporttracks for my run data & Garmin Connect for biking.

Thinking of consolidating into one program or site for simplicity.

Anyone have any other suggestions to try out?

& as an aside anyone know how long activities are stored on Garmin Connect?

Yeah, that's the one I use. But don't tell the mods, because they don't like you linking to other tri-related sites.

I use Garmin Connect for everything. I love it.

I use my Garmin for most workouts anyway but I can also enter workouts manually. You can also import .tcx and .fit files.
I also love the ConnectStats app for iphone which imports the data (app is not made by Garmin).

The data is kept there indefinitely as far as I can tell.

I use 2:

1. Google Docs. I created a spreadsheet with everyday of the year. Every day I enter everything I do. I have specific columns for running, biking, swimming, my weight, etc. that automatically calculate my pace, totals, etc.   It took a bit of time to set up but once I did it is super easy to enter everything and to always see at a glance exactly what I've been doing.

2. Fitocracy. Good for tracking but also for motivation and social interaction.  Everyone else can see and prop (think Facebook "likes") or comment on all your workouts. Plus it's good for discussing anything fitness related with sections for everything you can think of. Also each workout earns you (completely meaningless) points and you can enter challenges to see who can earn the most points from running, or doing pushups, or anything else.

I use movescount, suuntos own program. Really easy to use, and gives me all the info I need. I'd love to use the logs and programs on this site, but they don't sync with suunto. I have two years of data on movescount, and I'd hate to let it go.

Oh and Training Peaks and Strava. And Garmin Connect. And a regular old paper notebook and Excel spreadsheet.

I need to stop looking at numbers...

BT!

You can upload your Garmin data if you really want to.

It's also easy to export your BT data if you need to some other kind of fancy data massaging.

Also, the graphs are awesome.

I love looking back over the many years of data.

Up until recently I used Garmin Connect.

Unfortunately, it has been so buggy for me in the past few months that I just gave up on it. I have issues with multisport routes and whenever I try to create a course to download to my watch, the map freaks out.

Even though it as been so great in the past, sadly I just don't care to use it any more.

I use a combination of the BT logs and an Excel spreadsheet that I developed.

I use an Excel spreadsheet I created. For my runs they are kept on the Nike+ website (I have the sportwatch) but I duplicate the data over to my spreadsheet so I can look at everything together.

I use BT when training on my own and both BT and Training Peaks when I am being coached.

I've been using BT for a while and I like it but it's becoming a pain in the butt.  So I am starting to use MapMyFitness.  It is slicker to log and view data and see the overall picture.  Only reason I haven't abandoned BT yet is the social aspect.  It is the only think that gives it an edge

dude.. guessing your job involves dealing with data? Do you really use all six?

Or is it that you've used each of those at some point through the years... just curious.

I use BT logs.

I use Garmin Connect and BT. Since I bought my new 910xt it is very easy to upload workouts to BT.

I'm trying to figure out if this is a trick question. I've got 8 years worth of workouts logged here in BT. Don't see any reason to use anything different. Indefinite retention, graphs, pace tracking, notes, race reports, body metrics, etc., etc.

The funny thing is I don't really "use" any of them for much. As in, I don't really analyze the data that much, or do anything with the analysis once its done. Oh yeah, I upload my Garmin to all 3 sites, but I hardly every look at the historical data other than to see how many miles/hours I've put in this week, month or year. Or see how many miles are on my shoes.

Although I do use Strava to search out KOMs to conquer. Not that many segments actually get conquered but it makes workouts interesting sometimes.

I use the Excel spreadsheet for silly calculations that have no bearing on anything really. And the paper logbook to write things down before I actually sit at a computer and enter it in.

Yeah, I'm weird.

My favorite part of this post is reading what everyone else uses. I uses Strava for Run & Bike - because it's on my phone and my now broken Nike GPS watch only had a setting for runs.

I really, really don't care what program I use so long as it's really easy (meaning no data entry post workout), and I can see all the information quickly. It appears as though Garmin probably fits that.

If you want fun & something to "gamify" your training (give you other people's workouts to compete against) then both Nike & Strava provide that on runs and biking respectively.

Garmin seems to be the only company with a seamless device (watch) to computer process that captures multiple different activities and logs them coherently. I don't have a Garmin but apparently I need one. A 910xt to be precise.

I use BT and love the BT logs.

I have used Garmin, Training Peaks and more to connect with different devices or coaches but I always put Data here in BT. I doesn't crash, I have data from back in 2005, race info from more than 50 races.

BT logs are awesome.
