Warm down: Limped around while the women raced - my wife popped her knee on the first obstacle which was terrible for her since this was her first big race. We looked ridiculous back at the camp site since we were both limping badly. What limited your ability to perform faster: Have been flat for months, dealing with infections - I hope this is done and can go into the fall fresh. Event comments: Way harder than last year just because of the ski-hill location. Obstacles have no upper body (unlike Spartan) which makes it very popular with the ladies. This was a for-fun race, with my wife and her friend running in a later wave. So we were camping about 30 minutes away the night before and the night after.
A bit of a jog to loosen up the calves but not feeling 100%. Some jerky and cliff bar before start with a GU 10 before.
