was just so weird that I have to share.  Even tho I was looking forward to this ride today, when I headed out it felt as if my legs were dead.  It was all I could do to keep from bagging the ride and going back home.  About 7 miles into it, I was passed by a woman on a beautiful yellow Cannondale.  That demoralized me a bit, but I caught up to her at the stop sign because the traffic was fairly heavy.    We proceeded to ride the next 20 miles together.  Now I truly believe this was no coincidence.  We are the same age, have the same running back ground, same knee problems, our sons are the same age and go to school together, and our daughters have the same name.  We live in the same neighborhood and while I have a Sheltie, she has a full size Collie.  Coincidence??  I think not!  Her sole purpose in being there was to keep me from bagging this ride, even if she did not know that!

another time I went to the LBS to catch a group ride. Only 1 other person showed up. Nice 'group', huh? But we headed out and had a fantastic ride. In the course of our conversation he told me he is a cardiovascular surgeon at one of the leading Boston hospitals. I had to look him up on their website when I got home and I discovered that his specialization is "diabetic limb salvation." My husband has type 1 diabetes........

You are so right these are little gifts from a higher power.

I am starting to truly believe that this is so, I have had some similar situations.

It is strange in a good way, I think...
