Preferably one that can hold a bike with deeper wheels (HED3)

I use a fork mounted rack.  I like that the bike is locked if I need to stop somewhere.  Downside is I tend to overtighten the lock for the fork so some of the paint chipped off my fork.   Very secure on highways.

I have the Yakima Anklebiter. The only bike it hasn't held was my ex's mountain bike, because the crank arms were really wide.

The wheel straps are adjustable to fit deeper wheels... and they're really not necessary (I've forgotten to ratchet them down a few times...) That arm holds the bike in VERY well.

I had a couple of Yakima SprocketRockets: http://www.amazon.com/Yakima-SprocketRocket-Rooftop-Fork-Mount/dp/B...

They were great until someone stole them...

I bought this based on recommendations here on BT

I don't know if the ready strap is long enough for a deep wheel though. I just have regular wheels. Works great, definitely holds the bike sturdily.

I have pedals with the cage and when I ride 2+ hours my legs feel much more tired then if I took out my husband's bike with clipless pedals. Do clipless pedals truly make the difference?

The ISM Adamo Racing Saddle is difficult to define. It doesn’t look like a bicycle saddle. It doesn’t mount like a bicycle saddle. And yet, it does feel like a bicycle saddle.

I started riding this spring with the Carnac shoes on Look pedals (with plenty of float). About five minutes into a ride I get sharp pain on the outer edge of my feet, just behind the pedal.
